This backpack by Marc Jacobs is nice. Its simple, wearable but also has that fashion element. I heard that the price was also really good.. around £50 or something like that. A friend of mine has this bag in white canvas, the only problem with the it is that he has to keep it permanently attached to his back because he won't put it down on the gound for the fear it will get dirty.
