Goodordering backpack

Designed in London and based on retro travel bags, this backpack designed by Jacqui Ma is a mix between modern and the retro. It has a separate padded laptop compartment and a huge array of pockets on the front of the bag and inside. The main compartment opens up really wide to make it easy to get things in and out. It comes in four colours - maroon, forest green, rusty orange and chestnut brown.

You can buy this bag at www.goodordering.com

MERCHANT & MILLS OIL SKIN BAG

I like the narrow handles of this bag and the inbalance (or balance) of proportion. The simple oil skin canvas bag is accented by thick but narrow quality leather shoulder straps. You can buy this bag here at the Merchant & Mills shop. They have a real bricks and mortar shop in East Sussex. I will keep this in mind for my next road trip. This bag retails for £48 not bad.

CAMO AND SPOTS

Spots and camo merged together here in harmony. Its all about the classic prints at the moment.

LL BEAN

Apparently this is a World war 2 L.L. Bean officer's case. Definitely looks like it has been through the wars. It says on the inside tag that it is made in Maine. Its nice to see some authentic old stuff.
I particularly love the metal zip. its in good shape huh!

VINTAGE LEATHER BRIEF CASE

I like the look of this vintage leather brief case. Its simple but ticks all the boxes of that vintage variety. The simple corner re-enforcements have a slightly elongated and elegant shape and the radius' are just right. Its another winner from etsy i just stumbled upon looking for something entirely different. I'm glad etsy is based in brooklyn otherwise i would be broke with a room full of bags.

VINTAGE HIKING

Backpacks, rucksacks, whatever you want to call them. They are not just sporty with puffy shoulder straps anymore but go back to their roots of vintage camping with military inspiration. Here are some amazing images of vintage ruck sacks, note the colours, the details and the subtle branding style which make these bags so delectable.

80S VINTAGE TAPESTRY BRIEFCASES

I have been at it again on etsy... and i got mildly obsessed with these highly 80s briefcases. I imagine when working women started hitting the pavement ala Melanie Griffiths... the bag designers out there had to come up with something equally as striking.

The designer had obviously just got back from a holiday in Egypt when this bag was being designed.

No, this one is not strictly a briefcase, and in fact, its not really 80s but a bit more on the 70s side... But i like it anyway.

I do actually love this solid briefcase. Its like some person has thought... what do you get if you mix a 'normal' mens briefcase with pretty flowery things that women like... i know... its a cross between aunt mildred's sofa and a standard work case.

This one above is a sort of american aztec meets bed linen design. It definitely provides some good clashing pattern to ensure full impact clash with any other elements of the outfit.

This one, i actually want for myself... but its a shame i don't really have any important business meetings to attend on a regular basis.
